Introduction




1. שלום (Shalom), קוראים לי (my name is / korim li) _____________________.


Example: Shalom, korim li David.


* Both men and women should use "korim li" (my name is).




2. אני (I / ani) גר (live / gar) ב (in / be) ____________________.

Example: Ani gar be New York.


* A man should say "gar" (live, masculine). A woman should say "gara" (live, feminine).



3. אני (I / ani) לומד (study, learn / lomed) _____________________.


Examples:

Ani lomed ivrit (Hebrew)

Ani lomed anglit (English)

Ani lomed sfaradit (Spanish)

Ani lomed tsarfatit (French)

Ani lomed mishpatim (law)

Ani lomed matematica (math)

Ani lomed historia (history)

Ani lomed Torah

Ani lomed la-shir (to sing)

Ani lomed lirkod (to dance)


* A man should say "lomed" (learn, masculine). A woman should say "lomedet" (learn, feminine).



4. אני (I / ani) אוהב (like / o-hev) ל (to / le) _________________.

Examples:

Ani ohev le-sachek (to play) kaduregel (football).

Ani ohev lishmoa (to listen to) musica (music).

Ani ohev la-lechet (to go) la-kolnoa (to the cinema).

Ani ohev le-echol (to eat) pizza.

Ani ohev lishtot (to drink) ma-im (water).

Ani ohev la-avod (to work).

Ani ohev lis-chot (to swim).

Ani ohev lir-ot (to see) mekomot (places) chadashim (new, plural).

Ani ohev lenagen be-gitara (to play the guitar).

* A man should say "ohev" (love, masculine). A woman should say "ohevet" (love, feminine)


5. העיר (the city / ha-ir) המועדפת עליי (my favorite / ha-mu-a-defet alai) היא (is, hee) ________________.


Examples:

Ha-ir ha-mu-a-defet alai hee Bangkok.

Ha-ir ha-mu-a-defet alai hee Venetsia (Venice).

Ha-ir ha-mu-a-defet alai hee Roma (Rome).

Ha-ir ha-mu-a-defet alai hee Tel Aviv.
